Thats right, you can get Flex Builder 3 Professional for education for free if you qualify. According to the web site:

Adobe Flex Builder 3 Pro is available for free to students and faculty of eligible education institutions.

Proof of Eligibilty
To receive the product, you must upload a valid proof of eligibility to get the serial numbers to activate the product. Valid proofs of eligibility are:

  1. a student ID showing current enrollment,
  2. a Faculty ID showing current employment
  3. a Letter on an educational institution letterhead stating that you are either a current student or a current faculty member of the institution.

Thanks to Mike to mentioning this to me this morning, I have submitted my student application.  The one thing that I noticed is that if you are an administrator or staff member at an educational institution you are not eligible - you must be a student or faculty member.  Thankfully I am still a student in addition to working as a full-time administrator at Hamilton College in ITS.  Lastly, I am not sure if they are looking for students that are currently enrolled in a CS or related field of study.  However, I think this is a great move by Adobe, and believe that they should follow up this with other products - especially ColdFusion.
