You heard right.  There’s a new ColdFusion community site provided by Ning and setup by Nick Tong at www.coldfusioncommunity.org.  The site provides several group features all within a friendly interface that is simple and intuitive.  I highly recommend you check out the site, and sign up for an account.  Great idea Nick - very cool!

With that said, I think this site can provide a great resource for developers to interact; however, how many more ColdFusion community sites do we really need.  The more that are created starts to dilute the knowledge base that is available within the community.  Personally, I have accounts on so many social networking sites that I just don’t have the time to be on all of them.  Furthermore, some of them I have probably completely forgotten about.  Lastly, I think the biggest potential drawback is that the future of this site is dependent upon the reliability and future of Ning.com.

I really like the new coldfusioncommunity.org site, and look forward to meeting new people and talking to old people on the site, so I definitely encourage you to join.
