With all the excitement of developing web applications for the iPhone, I thought I would list some valuable resources that might assist you in your development efforts. There was a large buzz after the release of the iPhone with several DevCamps and other activities where leaders of the web development community joined forces to tackle the obstacle of not being able to install third-party applications (or any application) into the iPhone. With the capabilities of the browser today, many believe that the best way to extend the capabilities of the iPhone is through Safari and web2.0 application designed specifically for the iPhone.
As a result, several JS and graphics libraries have shown the power of the browser on the iPhone. Here are a couple of resources to get you started:
- Apple Developer Connection - Web Development for iPhone
- iUI by Joe Hewitt
- iPhone DevCamp
- iPhone WebDev Google group
- Aptana IDE for iPhone
- iPhone Dev Wiki
- iPhone Developers Wiki (another one)
If you have any iPhone development tips, tricks, or other resources… please share or post on the Google group.
